Cooking together was a big hit

Every year, the eighth grade french students at CVG participate in a french exchange, but what about the latin students?? The caspar vischer high school thought about this and found a solution in the rumanian town of constanza. For the local high school was decided for several reasons. "The roman poet ovid lived there in exile, there is a lot of evidence from the roman period, and roman is a living language that still has strong roots in latin.", according to principal ulrike endres.
Constanza offers latin school students the opportunity to get to know roman culture and learn a lot about our eastern neighbors. German is also an important cultural language in romania.
After a visit by CVG students to romania, 13 ninth graders and two teachers made a return visit to kulmbach, where they lived with host families. A varied program, prepared by waltraud berner, provided a lot of variety and cultural insights. Excursions to bayreuth and regensburg went down just as well with the young people as the kulmbach city rally, a hike to plassenburg castle or the joint cooking activity in the museum education center.
The romanian guests attend one of the best state schools in the country, the school system is similar to that in germany, but has some differences. "In our school, everyone attends general school until the eighth grade, and only then do we separate the children, teacher laurentiu diamandi explained. He had noticed that the lessons at the CVG were more practice-oriented, the raw interest in art and theater was great.
An evening tour with night watchman erich olbrich brought the eventful week to a close.
